Overview
Quantum Technical Services is the trading name of Siltech Pty Ltd.  Siltech was established in 1987 under its original name of Photo Waste Management, by David Hutchinson, a chemical engineer, with the purpose of providing environmental equipment, services and support to the Imaging Industry (photographic, x-ray, newspapers and printers).

As Siltech became the preferred service provider in this industry, the business grew both organically and by acquisition, and even today with massive changes in technology, the company has an 85%+ market share.

David remains the driving force of the company more than 20 years later, steering the business through many changes and challenges. Some key milestones along the way:

  • Telstra Small Business Award Winner
  • 16 businesses acquired
  • Acquired our own refinery
  • Entry into the Air Conditioning industry
  • Continued employee growth to over 100 employees.
